It doesn't exactly compete with any of the cars listed above (the GS430 is more of a competitor to the 550, and IS competes with the 3-series). It would be interesting to drive the IS vs. BMW 3-series vs. Audi A4 vs. Acura TSX vs. Mercedes C-class vs. Infiniti G35 (and maybe throw in the Volvo S40 and Saab 9-2x for kicks).
