Hey Sony: you suck
Sony, greedmongering DRM pushers, issued an apology for installing trojans along with a few dozen of their CD’s. What’s great about their apology is that they provide zero details regarding their program to swap malware-free CD’s for infected ones and that there is nothing in the way of contact information for the responsible parties. Way to go, Sony. You managed to suck even more with this apology, which is pretty astounding.

We were following the Sony thing while in Seattle. I decided that we would boycott Sony, until they removed their heads from their asses. Sony Records has been on my hit list for a while, (along with most big RIAA labels), but the trojan is just bad news. On the bright side, since we’ve pretty much been boycotting the RIAA for two years, we have not had the misfortune of screwing up our computers by playing new Sony recordings on them.
Better start building that Linux box.
